Facial Skin Care Treatments For Common Problems

Published by Author at 11:45 am under Skin Care

A combination of exposure to the elements, tiredness, dietary issues, stress and any number of other factors can contribute to the condition of our skin. Unfortunately, this often results in skin problems such as spots, rashes and the like. Natural facial skin care treatments for the most common skin problems are relatively straightforward, with a few examples listed below.

Breakouts

Once you’ve suffered a dreaded breakout, it’s important to be kind to your skin. Use a gentle cleanser, and limit excessive sun/wind exposure, fatigue, stress and alcohol as much as possible. There are also a variety of natural facial skin care treatments that many people swear by. These include rubbing fresh garlic on and around pimples, using limejuice and boiled milk as a face-wash or making a mask out of pulped ripe tomatoes.

Dark Circles And Puffy Eyes

In terms of facial skin care treatment, skin care facial masks are one of the best remedies for puffy eyes. A homemade mask made with soothing cucumber and yogurt will do just as good as a job as any product you can buy. Dark circles under the eyes may be an inherited trait, but more often than not the cause is environmental, with lack of sleep being a major cause. In this vein, make sure you get as much sleep as you need. If you end up with dark circles though, massaging the area with a mixture of honey and almond oil may make a big difference.

Chapped Lips

When your lips are dry and cracked, it can be almost impossible not to lick them but it’s important that you don’t. The easiest facial skin care treatment for chapped lips is to keep up your fluid intake all winter. This can include herbal tea when the weather is very cold. Also apply unflavored lip balm as often as is necessary, including underneath lipstick. If you’re going outside, make sure that your lip balm of choice contains sunscreen.

Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are, more often than not, the first wrinkles to appear on your face. However, they are more of an indication of level of sun exposure rather than age alone. So make good use of hats and sunglasses, and you’ll more than likely end up with fewer crow’s feet. Also stay off the cigarettes, as crow’s feet are partly caused by squinting, and the more you’re in a smoky environment the more likely you are to squint. Also make sure to keep up your facial skin care treatment regime. Keeping your face, particularly the areas around your eyes, moisturized helps keep the skin supple and less likely to wrinkle.

Home facial skin care treatments cannot only leave you looking and feeling great, but you can save a whole lot of money as well. It’s just a matter of knowing what to do, what not to do and how your skin is going to react.
